Getting started with WordPress is hard work!
So I just spent about two hours updating settings, burning RSS feeds, creating sitemaps, and uploading and downloading files from my server, all of these just to get my WordPress stuff in a presentable state. I’m pretty sure I still need to tweak a lot more stuff, like adding Google Analytics, something related to Twitter, add some links to other stuff I like, and put a picture of me doing something goofy and totally inappropriate. But for the most part the hard stuff is done, and it’s all about having fun from here on.
Since I’m no WordPress genius, I want to mention a couple sites that really helped me get started and not let the issue of not knowing the details get in the way of writing my blog.
